Dr. Prabhakar Sharma is working as a Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University. Earlier, Dr. Sharma served at the School of Ecology & Environment Studies, Nalanda University and the Department of Earth Sciences, Uppsala University, Sweden. He teaches several hydrology and environmental engineering courses and performs research on biochar applications for contaminant remediation, microplastic pollution, colloid fate & transport, aquifer characterization, and groundwater management via ASR.

Dr. Sharma had also worked at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and Ålbog University (Denmark) as a full-time researcher and pursued his PhD dissertation at Washington State University (USA). Dr. Sharma acquired his essential degrees from Stuttgart University (Germany), the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa. Dr. Sharma has procured several national and international research grants and collaborated his research with several leading institutions worldwide. He has published more than 90 peer-reviewed research articles in significant environment journals and serves on the editorial board of many reputed journals.
